Feeling The Ease

Nestled on a quiet mountainside in Santa Barbara, California, an orchard of olive trees is tended with care by its keepers. Mindful of their world and their impact on it, they were curious about what they could do with the clippings from maintaining their trees. The answer—olive leaf teas.

Known for its medicinal qualities, olive leaf tea is a traditional natural remedy most commonly used in eastern Europe that is typically prepared with only the leaves. Steep Echo developed a collection of nuanced and sophisticated blends with a master tea blender.

We positioned Steep Echo to be an occasion unto itself and as a pleasant moment of respite and self care. It is a covetable lifestyle accessory that went to market not by competing for shelf space in super markets but by establishing its own territory in boutique settings and through direct sales to discerning tea drinkers.

A Curated Accessory

The packaging is intended to be worthy of becoming part of the consumers kitchen decor. The telescoping boxes are reusable and the interior pouches are available as an optional refill making the boxes more like permanent storage containers than disposable  packaging. The artwork is representative of the layered nuances of the tea blends and evocative of quiet moments of contemplation.

The Song Of The World

The ocean breathes in—deep
Above, the mountain rises out of the mist
Its slope hums of all day sun
Cooled by the dusk sea breeze
The world is singing to us, if we pause to hear
Calling us to follow it to gifts of time and nourishment
It inspires us to wake up and to take part
To become and to make real what lies ahead
We are all searching, but we must also make the time to listen
To the echo of ourselves
Beyond the clutter and fray
And sing into the song of the world
